Vacation packing, ALL THE YARN!

The eternal question... how much to pack?
Is one hook enough? What if it gets lost? Is two hooks enough? Which scissors do I think I can get away with on the plane?

1. A knit project
2. A mindless crochet project
3. Yarn for designing .... there's the problem. A notebook, a pen, a hairpin loom, a broomstick needle... worsted? DK? several solid colors for color work? Bring yarn that is in balls and not hanks or spend precious packing time winding hanks into balls...

Hope you work it out! Can I suggest no scissors on the plane, take a pair of nail clippers instead. Also take many hooks in case - unlikely but in case - they take them away from you and take wooden ones, take them in a pencil case with pencils, they don't seem to notice them then. Probably shouldn't say that, but it has worked for me that way!
