Overstuffed Seat Cushions Revealed!

My super squishy Ravioli inspired Overstuffed Seat Cushions are in Brett Bara's new book, Crochet at Home.

I think the oval is a totally underused shape don't you? So I try to use it whenever possible....

I worked on a few different color configurations for the seat mats before the blue one became the favorite.
They are motifs sandwiched on either side of foam for awesome puffiness. The seat cushions are made of Berroco Comfort Nylon/Acrylic blend.

I'd like to be more known for my obsession with ovals...

The two above motifs are from my book, Go Crochet! Afghan Design Workbook.
The Dots and Dashed Blanket from Simply Crochet.
There is at least one oval going to make an appearance in Book FOUR too, so stay tuned.

Reveal! Blushing Erin Neckwarmer

The new book, Crochet One-Skein Wonders is now out.  It took a long time to come to print because it has 101 projects in it!  Edited by Judith Durant and Edie Eckman, this is a thick book.
In the 286 pages, the projects are separated by yarn-weight from thread to bulky.

My Blushing Erin Neckwarmer (named for my youngest Niece...) (p. 154) Is in it. The book is so big, I thought I'd better tell you the page number... Not all the projects have stitch diagrams, but mine does! It's totally easy, can be done in one day, and uses less than one skein of yarn.  This model is made of the very luscious Blue Sky Alpacas Hand-dyes.

The book is available either in softcover or Kindle version through Amazon.

Don't forget, there are TWO giveaways this week, check Monday and Tuesday's posts for more information.

Crochet Color Variations

Isn't it interesting to see crochet designs in different colors? Would you like to see an alternate color scheme for my new Fennel Hat? It's in the Interweave Crochet Accessories 2012 issue.  But it wasn't always in the lovely Berroco Ultra Alpaca.  What color combination would you choose?

It just shows how long ago I designed this hat! Look how young Chickee is!
I love to crochet with texture. This hat I had dubbed the 'Dramatic Cabled Hat'.

Crochet Guess...

Where I was last week? I was crocheting...

in Detroit...
with the cast of Knit & Crochet Now! Here I am above with crochet expert, Robyn Chachula. Below is Host, Brett Bara on the set.  I only got a few photos since we were super busy episodes. Thanks to Annie's for buying the show and Candi Jensen for bringing me on board!  I had a really terrific time. Brett is such a pro, she made my appearances so easy. It really helps that I've worked with Brett for a few years now on different projects!  And Robyn too!  We have so much in common that it makes working a really fun.

Here's a really old photo when I visited the set in 2009, who would have guessed back then that I'd be a "regular" on the show one day!
