Chickee and me crocheting

When I was 14 or so, my Mom and I crocheted a granny square blanket for my grandmother.  This past weekend I got grandmother's blanket back, since she passed away a few weeks ago.  Seeing the blanket (I'll post a photo of it this week), made Chickee want to crochet a project with me.  We went stash diving and found a good quantity of this lime green Red Heart Kids yarn.  We sat down to make granny squares.  I told her that I would match her square for square... just my luck I'd make 50 and she'd lose interest.... She has made 9, so I have made 9!  We'll see how long it takes for her to abandon the project.  I'll keep you posted.

My condolences on you losing your grandmother. Sounds like you have happy memories of her.

I just finished 300 granny's for a afghan my suggestion is try getting more colors to mix and keep it interesting for her.

So sorry to hear about your Grandmother :(.
I love that you're making this project with your daughter.

I also have to comment on your chair. With your daughter and crochet squeezed in there with you, and that awesome cat who apparently needed to find his place in there too. Adorable. Reminds me of me and my wing back chair. There really isn't room for more than myself, but it's often that I can have as much as 2 kids AND 2 dogs and myself all in that chair lol. I love those moments.
